Minister for European Affairs, Culture and Sport Sampo Terho visited KymiRing race track on Monday for the first time.
KymiRing motorsport center that is under construction in Iitti, southern Finland had an honor to welcome high level guest on Monday when Minister for European Affairs, Culture and Sport Sampo Terho visited the place.
During my visit it was great to recognize that the project is moving on. KymiRing motorsport center is wide and remarkable project both in regional and in national levels, says Minister Sampo Terho.
Terho highlights the meaning of KymiRing and the MotoGP races what will be organized between 2019 and 2023 for the whole Finland.
This project for sure gives a boost for Finnish motorsport. It is great to have significant events to Finland such as MotoGP races. This project gives international visibility for Finland and the tourism improves the economic situation of the area, Terho continues.
The people in charge of KymiRing project were delighted to have minister visiting the place. In KymiRing minter Terho met the project manager Timo Pohjola, managers of Iitti and Kouvola municipalities, the CEO of Finnish Motorcycling Federation Kurt Ljungqvist and the vice president of motorsport federation AKK Markku Pietilä.
